Mackay Regional Council Small Business Mentoring Program

Applications closed at 5:00pm AEST on Friday, 11th March, 2022.

Following the success of the pilot Small Business Mentoring Program delivered in 2021, more spots are open to support and empower 10 business owners and start-ups in optimising their business. This mentoring opportunity will enable participants to take advantage of the economic opportunities arising from the Pioneer Valley Mountain Bike Trails Project.

Mackay Regional Council is funding this program to allow the mentoring to be offered free of charge to successful applicants.

The Program is being offered to existing businesses as well as start-ups that have a business idea that will support the development of the Pioneer Valley Mountain Bike Trails destination. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information about the Program and eligibility.

To find out more about the pilot program and hear success stories from your business community, watch the below video.

The Program has been designed to be virtual and will include a deep business assessment followed by five (5) one on one mentoring sessions tailored for your business needs. Supporting the mentoring journey, mentees will have access to a suite of practical workshop style webinars, tools and resources as well as ongoing support from your mentor.

An information briefing webinar was held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. If you missed the information briefing webinar, you can watch the recording below which provides a detailed outline of the Program including a Q & A session at the end.
