Beth Burns is an assistant consultant at Sparrowly Group, supporting project delivery, program development and business operations. 

Beth combines applied research with practical project support to co-develop programs, undertake research and analysis, and design frameworks that support continuous improvement and decision-making. She brings 14 years’ experience in hospitality and travel services, including operations management. Her approach is grounded in rigorous research and qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Beth has a strong interest and background in the social science of tourism, with focus areas including community development, decolonisation, Indigenous tourism and socio-cultural sustainability. Her perspective is shaped by extensive travel (almost 60 countries) and international study and work, including studying tourism management in Rimini, Italy (University of Bologna) and working as a Tourism and Heritage Consultant in Kathmandu, Nepal, supporting stakeholder-led, sustainable tourism and heritage outcomes.

Based in Sydney, she works regionally, nationally and globally to help clients achieve evidence-based outcomes that endure beyond project timelines.
