Co-designing for alignment and growth

Pallion is the largest precious metals manufacturer and services group in Australasia. It designs, manufactures and distributes precious metal products and related services. It comprises six entities including ABC Bullion, ABC Refinery, Palloys, Goldenage International, Custodian Vaults and WJ Sanders. Each entity has its own voice, offering and business needs.

Sparrowly Group was appointed by Pallion to facilitate a business planning workshop for their leadership, commercial and operations teams. Our objective as facilitators was to consolidate customer and market demands and align the business focus.

OUR APPROACH 

We strategically designed a business planning workshop that would bring each of these entities together. Our goal was to provide and facilitate a platform for the broader team to share insights and collaborate to co-design outcomes for business success. Our hope was that this would enable the combined group to transform from six different voices to one cohesive voice and approach.

IMPACT

Using the outputs from the facilitated workshop, Pallion had the tools to proceed with a one-voice strategy.

The engagement from this workshop promoted a strong sense of ownership and advocacy among the team. This was key to making stepped change and growth and transforming the entity as a whole.

Sparrowly Group have worked with a wide variety of manufacturers from agriculture value-adding through to distilleries, breweries and wineries working to help alleviate common challenges including quality, cost-efficiency, diversification, distribution and delivery. 

Sparrowly Group was there to support Macadamias Australia as they embarked on a transformative agribusiness venture, expanding their value-add processing facility and introducing agritourism with a new tourism facility launched in 2020. We played a pivotal role by shaping the customer experience, architect briefs, and developing a comprehensive commercial and operational strategy. 

Similarly, Sparrowly Group has supported and guided the beverage sector, including Earp Distillery, Cape Byron Distillery, Cupitts Estate and Jervis Bay Brewing Company. Here we worked with them in streamlining their processes, enhancing their sales, marketing and distribution approach as well as the introduction of diversified revenue streams. Additionally, Sparrowly Group helped to optimise internal business operations by reviewing and helping with the implementation of point-of-sale and booking platforms.
